      How does our business model work?

      The business model works quite simply. MERGEPORT Ordering sees itself as a provider for the interface between service providers (delivery services, apps, web services) and POS systems. In addition to an activation fee per restaurant, we charge a small monthly flat fee.

      The logic behind: as a distribution partner of POS developers and merchants, we give the opportunity to generate additional income at the restaurateur. Among other things also by assistance with the selling of new order solutions.

      Our mission: to help POS developers and to generate more revenue.

      The most frequently asked questions we receive from our customers and partners.

      Mergeport is a middleware that connects cash registers (POS systems) and external solutions (apps) with each other. This can be hardware (e.g. payment terminals), additional software (e.g. analysis software) or web services (e.g. order portals). Mergeport standardizes this data so that everyone can handle it more easily and makes the apps available to POS retailers. Similar to a marketplace or an app store. The retailer can simply resell the software to his/her customers.

      Mergeport uses standard technologies (Rest-Api) to connect to cash registers. Once a system is connected to Mergeport, a connection to all partners in the network can be realized.

      Nothing for now. The connection to POS systems and apps costs nothing. Mergeport only earns money if software or an interface is actually sold to a customer in the gastronomy sector.

      Mergeport uses standard technologies (Rest-Api) to connect to cash registers.

      Software houses must connect to each app individually. Research, communication, implementation and testing of the interface take up a lot of time and resources. Although many POS systems are already connected to apps, many additional solutions will be added in the future. With a connection to Mergeport, many apps can be covered.

      Upgrade your sales network: Mergeport allows you to offer a range of software solutions in addition to your POS system and provides your customers with exactly what they need. We solve the technical difficulties behind it and support you with training and marketing materials.

      Once connected (free of charge) to Mergeport, we distribute your products via the distribution network of our POS partners. No one has better access to your target group of gastronomers, than vendors of  POS systems.
