A central integration hub for ready2order
How ready2order connects self-ordering and delivery services via MERGEPORT and streamlines the path to active integration with AI-based auto-mapping and SSIO.
For a POS system, integration does not end with transferring an order. Restaurants need to connect their ordering channels, map items and activate the connection. If these steps differ for every service, a growing range of integrations also increases the work required for setup and support.
ready2order uses MERGEPORT as a shared hub for this purpose. It connects self-ordering solutions and delivery services to the POS system and provides a technical foundation for organising onboarding as well.
One hub for the connected ordering channels
Self-ordering and delivery platforms serve different purposes in a restaurant. From the POS perspective, their orders still need to become part of a usable workflow. MERGEPORT brings these connections together and translates between the systems involved. This gives ready2order a shared integration path for the supported services. The specific functionality depends on each connection.
Headless integration and independent setup
Headless integration lets MERGEPORT work in the background. The technical connection can be embedded in ready2order's product interface, while the POS system remains the user interface. Restaurants can thus access integrations within their familiar product environment.
Self-service complements this model on the operational side: users can complete the intended setup steps independently. This allows recurring onboarding tasks to become part of a guided workflow and reduces the need for individual coordination.
AI supports item mapping
A central step is mapping items from an ordering channel to those in the POS system. Different names and item structures make this mapping more difficult. AI-based auto-mapping supports the comparison and reduces manual setup work. Item mapping thus becomes an integral part of onboarding. Cases where there is no clear match still require clarification.
Faster activation with SSIO
SSIO supports rapid integration activation. Together with self-service and auto-mapping, it helps ready2order address several steps on the way to a usable ordering channel: setup, item mapping and activation.
The value of the shared hub therefore also lies in access to integration. A growing range of ordering channels is easier to provide when restaurants can bring the connection into operation through a clear workflow.
