Order Handling
The current integration supports delivery and pickup orders. Incoming orders are processed in Delta X based on the provided POS item IDs and price matching. The POS item ID must correspond to the article ID configured in the POS system. Matching based on item names is not used, as this is considered too error-prone.
If an incoming order contains an item that does not yet exist in the POS system, Delta X displays a selection option for a generic Merge product with the applicable VAT rate. Once the corresponding product has been created in the POS system, future orders can be matched and processed accordingly.
Status Updates & Interaction
Delta X supports status updates from the POS to MERGEPORT, including acceptedByPOS, readyToDeliver, pickedUpByDelivery and delivered. Delivery time adjustments via timeChange are currently not supported.
This enables the POS to actively update the order workflow after acceptance while keeping the integration focused on the core operational order flow.
Item Mapping & Additional Charges
Item mapping is handled via posItemId and price validation. Tips and discounts are processed correctly. Delivery fees are not currently included in the integration.
