Order Types

The POS integration supports delivery and pickup orders.
Table ordering is not supported.

Order Status Handling

The system supports all relevant order status updates provided via the possibleActions attribute in the order payload.

  • Each available status (except delivered) is dynamically exposed as an action button in the UI.
  • The status fetchedByPOS is applied automatically upon order retrieval.
  • Restaurants can configure whether acceptedByPOS is triggered automatically or requires manual confirmation.

After an order is accepted, all subsequent available status transitions are displayed based on the latest possibleActionsreceived.

Supported status updates include:

  • fetchedByPOS
  • acceptedByPOS
  • preparing
  • ready
  • rejectedByPOS
  • canceledByPOS
  • pickedUp

Delivery Time Adjustments

Delivery time changes via timeChange are not supported.

Handling of Unknown Items

If an incoming order contains items that cannot be matched to a known posItemId (SKU), the system applies a fallback item mechanism:

  • Unmatched items are mapped to a predefined fallback product within the POS.
  • The original name, price, and order details from the ordering platform (e.g. Wolt, foodora) are preserved.
  • For accounting purposes, the fallback item is recorded as the sold product.
